Although there are a plethora of funding opportunities across the university\u2019s faculty, we will focus on the center of aging.<\/p>\n<p>For starters, you must have an interest in or be willing to research aging to qualify. As usual, students will pass through a series of assessments to determine their eligibility for this scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>While this does not come with huge benefits, the idea is to cover part of the expenses you incur while engaging in your post-graduate\u00a0studies. In this article,\u00a0we\u2019ll provide a summary of the funding opportunities under the Center\u00a0for Aging.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><b>About the University of Manitoba<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Established 140 years ago, the University of Manitoba is among the leading research institutes in Canada. The university is globally recognized for quality education, innovation,\u00a0and a variety of unique programs.<\/p>\n<p>More so, it is the largest research hub with more than 100 degrees, certificates,\u00a0and programs. This implies that applicants must be enrolled for research or advanced studies on either aging or gerontology. You may decide to apply for more than one opportunity, but you must complete a different application form for each award you choose. Above all, these awards will encourage you to kick-start your career as a researcher and also support activities in the University\u2019s Centre of Aging.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><b>List of the <\/b><\/strong><strong><b>University<\/b><\/strong><strong><b>\u00a0of Manitoba scholarships <\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The awards on our list are all available courtesy of\u00a0the Alzheimer\u00a0fellowship, the University\u00a0of Manitoba retirees association scholarship.\u00a0Here are some funding opportunities you can choose from.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><b>Dr. Babara <\/b><\/strong><strong><b>Payne&#8217;s<\/b><\/strong><strong><b>\u00a0scholarship<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><b>Eligibility criteria<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrolled for graduate studies\u00a0at\u00a0the University of Manitoba<\/li>\n<li>Intends to carry out research or is already conducting a thesis on Social Gerontology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><b>Value: <\/b><\/strong>$800<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>2. Esther and Samuel Milmot<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Eligibility criteria<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Either graduate or undergraduate from the faculty of art<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled for full-time studies in\u00a0a program that is related to gerontology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><b>\u00a0Value: <\/b><\/strong>$1000<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>3.
