You may decide to apply for more than one opportunity, but you must complete a different application form for each award you choose. - Dr. Babara Payne’s scholarship
Eligibility criteria
- Enrolled for graduate studies at the University of Manitoba
- Intends to carry out research or is already conducting a thesis on Social Gerontology
Value: $800
2. Esther and Samuel Milmot
Eligibility criteria
- Either graduate or undergraduate from the faculty of art
- Enrolled for full-time studies in a program that is related to gerontology
Value: $1000
3. Betty Havens Memorial graduate fellowship
Criteria
- Has an interest in researching aging
- Is not a recipient of any award worth $10000 and above in the year the award is tenable
- Either a first-year or second-year student in a master’s program with a research focusing on aging
- Has at least a 3.5 grade point average judging from the last 60 hours of study
Value: $2000

- Instead of a cover letter, submit the reference letter guidelines for student awards to your faculty
- Choose from the available University of Manitoba scholarships offered by the Centre of Aging.

- Academic record (40%)
- Letters of support (10%)
- Research project (25%)
- Research experience, publications, and presentations (25 percent)
