Disney Dreamlight Valley Walkthrough: Welcome to Dreamlight Valley
Welcome to Dreamlight Valley, an enchanting virtual world where dreams come true! As you embark on your magical journey, the very first quest you will encounter is “Welcome to Dreamlight Valley.” This quest serves as an introduction to Merlin and the Dreamlight Valley dialogue system, while also teaching you the basics of Memories.
Upon gaining control of your character, you will notice a few flowers around you. Take a moment to collect them, as they may come in handy later on. Next, it’s time to head towards the door of the house and attempt to enter. However, Merlin will stop you and inform you that the door needs to be cleansed using magic.
Don’t worry, because this is where you will be introduced to the dialogue system in Dreamlight Valley. Simply select the magic word of your choice to clear the vines blocking the door. Once you’ve done so, you can enter the house to meet Merlin.
Once inside, Merlin will explain the concept of Memories to you. He will tell you that your first memory is locked within a blue orb. To unlock it, you will need to investigate and uncover its secrets.
To proceed further, Merlin will ask you to find the Royal Tools. These tools, which include the Pickaxe, Shovel, Watering Can, and Fishing Rod, are essential items for your adventures in Dreamlight Valley. They are located in the Plaza area, so it’s time to start exploring!
As you seek out the Royal Tools, don’t forget to return to Merlin and talk to him about the memory you have unlocked. He will provide additional information and guidance as you delve deeper into the world of Dreamlight Valley.
After completing the quest to find the Royal Tools, Merlin will reveal that this house can be your home. He will grant you permission to move on, following the next exciting quest that awaits you in Dreamlight Valley.

The Royal Tools Walkthrough
Once you have cleared the Night Thorns in your house, head out to find the tools around the plaza. The Watering Can is closest and is just on the right side of your house behind some broken barrels. Having it allows you to water crops, so clear the Night Thorns to reach it.
It is located directly across the Plaza near Chez Remy, stuck in the ground, so you can plant seeds and dig holes.
The Pickaxe can be found buried in the stone at the bottom right of the map, which allows you to break rocks and harvest minerals throughout the valley.
Now that you have a Pickaxe, you can break the rocks blocking the way down the stairs nearby. You will find a Fishing Rod near the small pond on your right after this.
You’ll need to head to the nearby house to meet Goofy since it’s broken! When you hand it over to Goofy, he will give you an Angler’s Hat and his old one.
The four Tools are now in your possession; follow Merlin to the well at the center of the plaza after acquiring them. The quest will be completed when he explains Dreamlight mechanics to you again.
