Meeting the House Leaders

One of the highlights of Chapter 1 is the opportunity to speak with the three house leaders: Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude. Each leader offers a unique perspective on the monastery and the houses they represent. Players can choose to engage in a conversation with each leader to gain a better understanding of their personalities, goals, and the values that guide their house.

Exploring the Houses

In addition to speaking with the house leaders, players can also explore the houses themselves. Each house has its own unique features and characters, offering players different perspectives and experiences. Players can witness the students training and interacting with each other, providing a glimpse into the camaraderie and rivalries within each house.

Introducing the Students

Chapter 1 also introduces players to the potential students they can recruit into their house. Each house has a diverse group of students who are eager to join and support the player. Players can observe these students in action, seeing their strengths and weaknesses. This initial encounter serves as a starting point, allowing players to form bonds and choose their future allies.

Choosing Your House

Although players will not officially choose a house in this chapter, it is a good chance to familiarize themselves with the options available. By exploring the houses and speaking with their leaders and students, players can make an informed decision about which house aligns best with their playstyle and preferences. This chapter sets the stage for future choices and decisions that will have a lasting impact on the story.

Fire emblem three Houses Guide & Tips

Do you wish for a detailed walkthrough, yet require assistance navigating through the game? Or perhaps you have already conquered it, seeking strategies to streamline your experience? This section caters to both scenarios, offering valuable knowledge acquired through personal gameplay experience and practical tips that can enhance your gameplay, whether you’re starting the game from scratch or as a returning player aiming to gain a competitive edge.

Please note that while I am no die-hard Fire Emblem enthusiast, my insights do not encompass highly advanced techniques. Instead, I aim to provide relevant information that can benefit players at all levels of expertise.

Monastery Tips:

Always do your gardening in the greenhouse. This is an excellent way to gain valuable experience as a Professor without dedicating as much time as you would in an activity. Additionally, the greenhouse will be your primary source of various vegetables during the mid-late game stages. Make sure to plant and harvest crops every time you choose to explore!

Fishing can be time-consuming, but the rewards you gain over time are well worth it. With each fishing session, you accumulate valuable experience and catch a variety of fish. If you are not satisfied with the fish you have caught, you have the option of pressing A and releasing the first fish. Another fish will then take its place. You can repeat this process up to four times before the fish finally leaves with the bait. After the third round, it is recommended to simply reel in any fish that is there, as there is no point in continuing.

In the dining hall, the “Today’s Special” option offers a free meal, but the specific meal is determined randomly. This means that you cannot control what dish is served. However, if you repeatedly visit the dining hall with the same menu, you can create multiple meals with the necessary ingredients. This is perfect for students and faculty members who have similar tastes and prefer specific dishes.

Choir festivals have the potential to foster strong bonds among students, faculty, and knights, just as dining hall meals do. However, it is important to recognize that building connections with house leaders or lieutenants who are not associated with your house is futile. Recruiting them is highly unlikely, and if they eventually join you, it will likely be for an entirely different reason.

To sprint around the Monastery, simply hold B. You do not have any stamina limit, so you will never become tired.

It may seem as if some lost items cannot be found, despite asking every single character. However, it is important to realize that these items are actually specific to the present leaders or lieutenants of the three houses. If you are not a member of that particular house, you will not be able to return these items.

If you have amiibo, it is recommended to scan them in the Amiibo Gazebo. amiibo related to Fire Emblem are particularly beneficial, but even if you have none, you will still not miss out on anything. By scanning amiibo, you can unlock additional content and obtain special rewards.

Whether someone accepts your invitation for a tea party or whether they have time for a tea party is random. You can save and reset before you extend an invite if you don’t get the desired result.

Owl Feathers are everyone’s favorite. Giving one as a gift will be counted as if you gave someone one of their favorite gifts.

Gilbert and Alois will help you train your Heavy Armor skill, Seteth and Manuela will help you train your Flying skill, while Hanneman, Gilbert, and Jeralt will help you train your Riding skill. It’s important to know these 3 skills, as you cannot raise these on your own and you need those levels for recruitment and certification.

Recruiting Tips:

Despite the time constraints, you have ample time to develop your skills and recruit everyone, regardless of your chosen path. However, careful planning and time investment are necessary to achieve this goal. It is crucial to remember that each unit has specific preferences and rewards.

Raising the support level of a unit can significantly reduce the required stat and skill points to recruit that unit. For instance, achieving Support B with a unit will decrease the requirements compared to Support C (where your skill grade may be as low as D+).

It is important to note that Rhea is the most challenging unit to level in terms of support. However, it is generally not worth raising Rhea’s support unless you are planning to take the Silver Snow path.

Certification Exam Tips:

When preparing for your certification exam, it is important to prioritize obtaining the necessary certifications before selecting a specific activity. Once you have committed to an activity, you will not be able to take any certification exams for that week.

One notable aspect to keep in mind is that you can take the exam as many times as you desire, but you can only take it once a week. Therefore, it is important to allocate your time effectively and ensure that you are ready to sit for the exam before attempting it.

The results for a certification exam are determined in advance and will not change no matter how many times you reset it. However, there is one exception: if you reload from a week before, the results may be affected. Please note that this only applies to certain cases.

It is important to note that the minimum percentage required to attempt certifying for a new class is 30%. This means that even if you initially have a low chance of passing, it is still worthwhile to give it a try. You never know what the outcome may be until you give it a chance.

On the other hand, it is important to note that having a high success rate does not guarantee that you will succeed in a certification exam. Ultimately, the only guaranteed percentage is 100%. Therefore, it is equally important to approach each exam with determination and a positive attitude.

Lastly, always remember to save before an exam. Failure during one exam does not necessarily mean that your student/faculty member/knight will fail the exam for another class on the same day. Each exam is unique, and it is important to give it your best shot.

Teaching Tips:

When training skills, it is recommended to prioritize training a unit up to Rank C in a specific skill before moving on to another skill. Past Rank C, the amount of experience required to reach the next rank becomes significant, making it more effective to invest in leveling up a Rank E/D skill instead. This approach should be followed unless there are specific circumstances that require a student to develop their rank in a specific skill.

To ensure the achievement of desired results, it is essential to set custom goals for your students. While they may not necessarily make optimal decisions for themselves, you as the teacher have the necessary expertise to guide their progress. Setting personalized goals will help you make the most of your teaching efforts and maximize their learning experience.

Identifying and cultivating hidden talents within a unit can significantly expand their potential. If a student demonstrates exceptional skill in a particular area, it is nearly always worth investing time and effort in developing that skill further. By doing so, you can unlock new possibilities and unlock new avenues for their creativity and success.

When training students who are new to the game, it is essential to build their proficiency in certain skills initially. These skills may include Riding, Heavy Armor, or Flying, as students do not possess the necessary abilities to perform them independently. By prioritizing these skills early on, you can ensure their readiness and ability to navigate the game effectively.

When preparing the curriculum for a class, it is important to carefully review the requirements for each class and determine the skills and knowledge required to reach the desired level. While it is not possible to max out every skill, it is essential to prioritize the ones that have a significant impact on the class’s abilities. By tailoring your teaching plan to meet the specific requirements, you can ensure that your students or faculty members are prepared to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.

In summary, when training skills, it is advisable to prioritize training a unit up to Rank C before considering moving on to another skill. Past Rank C, investing experience in leveling up a Rank E/D skill is generally more effective. Additionally, setting custom goals for your students and identifying and cultivating hidden talents can enhance their learning experience. When preparing your teaching plan, consider the requirements for each class and prioritize the skills that will have the most impact on their abilities.

Battle Tips:

1. Just because someone’s class doesn’t give you experience for a different weapon doesn’t mean you can’t use that weapon. For example, Pegasus Knights can still use swords, even though they are a class that specializes in lances. However, they will not be rewarded with bonus EXP for utilizing swords.

2. The Combat Forecast takes into account what would happen if both you and your opponent landed at least one hit each. It disregards factors such as accuracy, critical hits, abilities, and Crests.

3. Always be mindful of the tiles your units are standing on. There can be unintended consequences if you are not careful. For example, certain tiles may have effects such as boosting or hindering a unit’s performance.

4. To check the attack range of all enemy units, simply press ZR. As long as your units are not within their attack range, they will not be hit. However, this does not guarantee enemies will not attempt to get closer to you.

5. Pay close attention to the objective required to win. It may be more than just defeating all units on the map. Sometimes, completing specific actions or capturing certain points is all it takes to achieve victory. Understanding these objectives can make the battle much easier for you.

Divine Pulse Tips:

1. Divine Pulse is a powerful tool that allows players to rewind a battle all the way back to the beginning. If you find yourself in a difficult situation and need to make significant changes, consider using this skill to reset the battle and try again.

2. Divine Pulse offers a unique feature that allows players to choose a different action that will lead to a different outcome. However, it’s important to remember that if you repeat the same action multiple times, you will continue to encounter the same result. Use this skill to explore different strategies and maximize your chances of success.

New Game Plus Tips:

1. New Game Plus offers players a chance to replay the game with additional benefits. One useful tip is that you will always receive Signs depending on the last route you completed. These Signs provide the same benefits as if the unit had the actual Crest itself. Take advantage of this mechanic to enhance your units’ abilities and unlock their full potential.

2. Another helpful tip for New Game Plus is that renown is earned based on the amount of routes you have cleared. This means that multiple playthroughs are rewarded, allowing you to progress through the game more quickly. Make sure to complete all routes to fully unlock the potential of your characters and earn the maximum amount of renown.

3. Lastly, leveling a unit’s support to A will allow you to immediately recruit them, even if you were previously not interested in fulfilling their specific requirements. This is a great option if you’re no longer interested in using a unit or if you want to unlock a particular unit’s abilities without going through the hassle of fulfilling their requirements.
